Community Safety Fear of Crime Cyberbullying Rumour Spread VIDEO The Beatles - Twist & Shout - Festival Hall Melbourne 1964 Fear is Ridiculous When... Comment by Pete Dowe Hypervigilance Vigilantism Hypervigilantism Histrionic Personality Drama Queen Fear disguised as Care
Hypervigilance is not about wrongdoing but a projection of bad intentions onto law-abiding behaviour.
How does a man prove he doesn’t have bad intentions and why should he have to?
Why did we empower ‘’watchdogs’’ to sit in judgement of others with their powers of immaculate misperception?
“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to
fear is...fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which
paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.”
"First, to borrow an imperative from safe-space culture, feminists must assume good-intentions from men. The world will never be a safe space for men if feminists fail to uphold safe space guidelines with interacting with them. Failing to assume good intentions leads to an environment where male bashing becomes a competitive sport."
Fear is Ridiculous When
It is used to attention seek, to
socialise, to bond, to emotionally blackmail,
is disguised as care, to bully, to
mob, to exclude
Then fear is just a whole lotta
ridiculous shakin goin on
